"Temporarily" non-smoking?

I stopped in a bit after 9pm on a Wednesday evening. The club was moderately busy but not crowded. There were about 20 women working. I would rate them everywhere from ~5 to 8. Most were reasonably attractive. A range of skin color, body size / shape. A few bit heavier but none I would say shouldn't be dancing.

Cover charge at that hour was $8 at the door where they did a mandatory license scan to get in. In a surprising change, there were notices at the entry that the club was "temporarily" non-smoking. This has always been a smoking club in the past. I asked as I left how long that policy would last and the guy said they didn't know - but I got the impression it might last. Another change from the past, my change was given in $1 bills. They used to always give $2 bills in change - to encourage larger tips.

This is a large club with bars on opposite sides and a large elevated ~25 ft. round stage in the center. There are two very small satellite stages in opposite corners, but only one was being used. Customers rarely sit at the seats surrounding the stage, but walk up to tip the dancers.

My Captain-and-Coke was $6.75. Don't know what the other drink prices are. I walked around and sat near the far side of the center stage and waited to order a drink. One waitress served someone nearby but didn't take my order, so I walked up to the bar to get my drink.

One dancer greeted me soon after I sat down. She sat on my lap and chatted for a few minutes. After a brief intro she asked if I ever did the private booths. These are in a secluded, elevated section and go for big bucks. Another dancer quoted $250 to the club plus $350 for the girl - but this includes a "free" bottle of champagne. There are also private 3-sided cubicles in the more commonly used private dance section. There the girls typically get $30 topless or $40 nude per song - plus there's a $5 per song add-on to the club. Most will offer a bulk-rate of 3 for $100.
