Nice new stage, but it's almost never used!

First review!

Curiosity propelled me to scout out this place, which reportedly opened in mid-2019. Parking is fairly easily obtained on the street (but this is not the safest neighborhood). There was a $10 door charge with a pat-down but NO check of ID. ($12 total tipped out).

For anyone who remembers the old Cheetah Club, the only remaining relic is the signage outside. The entire Cheetah interior has been gutted and everything got replaced with 21st century gleaming facilities, from the bathroom, to the mirrors on the wall, to the bar (on your left). The interior was mostly painted black. The old stage was taken out, and there is just one main central, square stage (except for a much smaller private-party one, see below). Nice leather couches have been placed at the edges of the room. Gone is the alcove in the back which housed pool tables. Instead, it is cordoned off (reportedly so that it can host private parties) but a second, smaller stage was installed and there is comfortable semi-private seating for dances. It’s pretty dark inside, with spinning and flashing colored lights. Music is no longer from a juke box but is piped in overhead (with weird commercials!) and consists of hip hop that’s just loud enough to be a little irritating (so that I put in one or two earplugs for a while).

The posted drink prices range from $8 to $11. I sat at the bar and just ordered water. There were from 6-8 dancers and from 3-5 total customers including me.
