'Customer Appreciation' aka GFY...

DDTR as its known, has often been the hottest venue in the area, with the youngest, sexiest lineups in a chill and comfortable location, but lately it's sucked donkey balls dipped in arsenic. For a long time, banner ads on the alternative, free strip club site advertised deals and discounts on admission which never existed in reality when you landed at the door. On that site-which they curate, manage and wipe every negative comment-they also advertise upcoming 'special event' nights with 50 dancers, free buffet, reduced VIPs etc etc, but never mention a jacked up cover (over the usual Jackson). Tonight I attended 'customer appreciation' night with 'free admission,' food, VIP specials etc and was charged ten bucks at the door. Upon inquiry, they claimed it wasn't a cover, but a two drink minimum (i.e. bottled water). Yes, the standard one drink minimum would have applied, so you're still being clipped for a nickel cover-not free. Such are the games played by a brain dead management, and which may explain the super low attendance, with exactly zero individuals seated stage side, while the two or three girl rotations mill around talking to one another for an eternal twenty minutes. Tonight, half the dozen girls were twenty five lbs overweight, a quarter were covered in ink, and the last quarter anorexic, The vibe is understandably lame, and chances are you will never be looked at, let alone spoken to-only one of the dozen girls circulated-and came across as a genuine human being. On the plus side, the DJ was spinning mellow mood tunes, not the more typical head banging rap which has driven me out early on previous visits. A three and a half limp dick rating out of four.
