Bad timing and lighting

I stopped into the Rhino on a Thursday hoping to take advantage of their Thursday specials ($140 for 30 mins in back). This January they're running a special where cover is free before 6:30pm (one drink min) and since I was coming from work I beat that cut-off by about 15 minutes. I paid for my drink at the entrance, checked the roster of ladies (looked good) and headed into the dark club.

Layout: When you enter, there's a large stage right in front of you. Bar to the right of it with bar stools and one row of seats between it and the stage. The left side has several rows of chairs and benches in the back. Nude dances and VIPs are down a passage next to the bar. Other than the stage it'll take you a minute or two to see all of this because the club is dark. Quite dark on this trip. The seating areas are pretty dark and even the stage isn't particularly bright, especially when some girls opt for red spotlights. Often I felt like I was seeing silhouettes on stage, not girls. As the evening went on the DJ started using a smoke machine, which made it even hazier and harder to see. I don't know what they are thinking - it's not like this club is filled with fatties and uglies. Let us see them for crissakes.

The biggest problem with this visit was the timing. Sure, the roster still said there were about 10 girls from day shift there when I walked in, including several that I was interested in. But I saw a couple of them head to the VIP shortly after I arrived and then I saw girls leaving. And no one arriving to replace them. Soon the stage really went dark and I think I sat there for 20+ minutes, sipping my $6 water, with an empty stage.
