First visit to the new club

I had been following this new club in Sacramento area since it opened a few months ago in the old Club Fantasy building. They had changed the address to 851, have new owners and have started posting their limited days and hours on IG. There were also a few local dancers who had been posting they were working there. So after seeing a full page add in SNR offering $10 off the cover charge I decided to check it out. around 10:30 on a Thursday night.

Besides a new paint job on the outside of the building, the neon Exotic Dancer sign is still up. It is still tough to see the turn in on the side of the building to the parking lot if you are not paying attention. Same well lit parking lot at the rear of the building with only one way in and out. Tonight seemed to be about a dozen cars. As you walk up the steps to the entrance, you you greeted by 2 bouncers, who do an ID scan and explain the rules. $20 cover which you pay inside, you must have a drink ( they don't have alcohol ) in front of you at all times, and the close at 4 am. They also have a dress code posted on a board upfront. Mostly listing no baggy clothes, sportswear, shorts, etc. Seems like they are trying to go for a better customer than than Fantasy had.

Once past the doors, you go down the hallway to pay the cover charge to the cute door girl. With the coupon its $10 tonight. As she gives me back my change, she asks for a tip, but only gave me a ten dollar bill back. I mention that if she had given me five singles and a $5 bill back, I would have something to tip her with. She didn't catch it or offer to break it down, so I moved on. Maybe she will learn if you want a tip, break down the change into smaller bills so a customer would be inclined to tip her. If she thought I was going to tip her $10 for taking my money at the door, she's going to be waiting a long time for that tip.
