Out-of-towner's first visit to the Hugger....

In the area for work, and based on past reviews, this seemed like the best place to spend an evening, and I think it probably is.

The place is bigger than I would have guessed by past reviews. When I walked in the room opens to the right where the stage and bar area are located. To the left are tables and a pool tables. With the stage on the right, there was nobody sitting to the left, except 2 older gentlemen, one of which informed me of a $5 cover. They didn't look like doormen or bouncers, and I can't definitively say I just didn't hand $5 to a random old guy working his hustle, but whatever.... Place is clean enough, and smoke free. Nothing about the place made me feel uncomfortable or unsafe, or like I was out of place. Casual dress, casual bar.

Found a table near the stage and sat down. No waitress, but bartender came by to take my order. $3 for an 8=10 oz draft. Not bad.
