Inner Room as we loved it, is gone.
I agree with the previous Review. The Inner Room as we loved it, is gone. The new stage is bright. It is large, It is expensive looking. They spent a good amount of money on the renovation. The backdrop of the stage is four very large-screen televisions. It is an excessive display of moving colors and I am sure promises of Miami South Beach technicolor excitement. It is everything we never wanted.
If you have never been to the Inner Room, you may not understand how improvements to a club can destroy it. You have to understand what the Inner Room was and wasn't. Better yet, you need to understand Brevard County. Cocoa Beach is a tourist area. Not tourist area like Disney or Universal Studios, or Miami South Beach. But like motels, pizza shops and dozens and dozens of places to buy a beach towel. We still prefer a good sandwich shop, over a place with a cloth napkin.
The Inner Room was our joint. The beer was reasonable, the dances were cheap ($10). And the women..... mostly average. Well..... just a few above average to keep in exciting. That is what we liked. We were fine with mostly average. We did not want them perfect. We wanted them friendly. The people were not pretentious. We all knew what we were there for. A reasonable cold beer, an okay looking woman, and maybe, just maybe a smile, for the way home.
