surprisingly quiet for a saturday night, but still a good time to be had

i had two buddies in town (visiting from out of town) and we wanted to go to follies...we got there around 11pm and were worried that there would be a long ass line since that's typically what happens on weekend nights....along with a $40 or $60 cover to cut the line. to our surprise, there was no line....it probably had something to do with the constant rain all day and night, and also perhaps because it's just after the holidays and people are building back up their cash reserves after spending on gifts? just a guess. anyway, we had the pat down by the military style security and paid the $20 cover....bought a round of drinks as soon as we walked in. on weekends at night, it's easy for your eyes to adjust since (1) they have brighter lighting in there (2) it's already dark outside, so it's an easier transition.

after settling down, we found some seats by the bar (yes it was so quiet that we could get seats at the bar) after a ocuple of guys got up to leave. i got dances from four dancers....consisting of two black ladies, one white, and one latina from colombia with a huge (but fake looking) ass...although it felt good. she inquired about whether i wanted to do VIP for $250 including the room, but i declined since i just wanted dances on this particular night. we stayed until close (they close at 2am) and it never got packed. i got a couple of numbers for "OTC" although i won't use them but i just like collecting numbers because the process feels good :)

as i like to say, an average night at follies is still better than a great night at 90% of the clubs in the US.
