Regulars here know the central easy-to-get-to location, the safe parking lot, the generally well kept up exterior and interior of the building. I've been coming here for years (which is the point I guess of this review - see below) and no surprises - meant in a good way.
To the content, the visit itself - well, I can't say I'm not trying.
I have been here three times in the past three weeks. This was once my favorite South Florida club back in the day. But the issue of poor response from entertainers - which I and others have attributed at the end of the day to linguistic mix (I have no Spanish) - persists.
What I am about to express in more detail yet again is not meant to be biased about national origin and ethnicity in any way. There is lots of welcomed diversity in my own family. But simply put - what I am experiencing here is a continued lack of response or effort or interest by entertainers at this club for whom communication in even simple English is apparently not in their comfort zone - even when I initiate, which I certainly know how to do.
Maybe it's me ? Maybe a function in some way of my still not adjusting to my retirement/semi-retirement status which now allows me more prolonged and less hurried visits - therefore I can be more patient.?
But wait a minute, wouldn't that work the other way around ? (Just trying to be generous before I chalk this up to the paucity of American entertainers with whom language is not an issue.)
But to be fair, my perusal of the reviews here as well as the comments posted after my two previous reviews of this club and a few personal messages I have received all tell me that my experience is not unique to me.
So - my most recent trip here, on a Friday mid-afternoon was a replica of prior visits. At least ten (maybe more, in the back or wherever) very attractive entertainers - but all too busy with regulars or just not interested in making any effort to get past a few words of English.
I enjoyed the view, imbibed my brew slowly, tried again a few times, and tired out.
