Time to Ho, ho, ho for the Holidays!
Welp, let's get the review police out of the way (plus throw some salt to the dimwits that state every review they don't like is a "club ad"). La Pearl is a essentially a neighborhood bar with no dedicated parking lot; parking is on the street around the hood; make sure you watch signs to avoid tickets. Cover is $10, which allows you access to both La Pearl downstairs and Outerspace upstairs (should both be open). Lapdances are $5 each for full songs played from jukebox. Dancers periodically will asked custies to help with tips to keep songs playing. This is a black club with all black dancers. Drinks are relatively inexpensive; I was getting cranberry and vodka 3 shots for $10!
And with that said: Man...it's been a minute since I've gotten to Philly! The last time was maybe 6 years ago? And that visit was a quick in and out, where I only got to go for 1 evening and it was a disappointing experience. But this time, I was here for an entire week. I spent 5 days here, 1 at Picadilly and 1 travelling into Irvington, NJ to hit up Vic's.
Since I still recalled my disappointing experience, I went in not expecting much. I arrived on Sunday and recall Sunday to supposedly be a good day for La Pearl, so made the beeline there around 4 or 5pm. I used to be a strong regular of Outerspace in the 2004-2009 range, when owner Lucky was still prominent at the spot. I actually never visited La Pearl, as I was young and always assumed it was just a regular bar down there for older folks to chill.
