Kittens is my favorite club anywhere. The vibe is relaxed and not too pushy. There are plenty of girls on the floor and dancing on 2 stages. They will approach you and ask if you want company but don't take offense if you demur. Tipping stage dancers does not seem to be expected, at least when the club is not busy. But if you see someone you like and approach the stage, you will get a good performance in exchange for a reasonable tip.
Private dances are in a sofa area with some but not a lot of privacy. I have nevertheless gotten very good mileage several times with private dances, although much depends on the dancer.
I always feel welcome here, although I usually visit on a weeknight due to my travel schedule, so I'm less sure what it's like on a weekend night.
