Minor rip off and clubbing mood ruined
You don't often get ripped off at Follies or run into any trouble. By and large people are friendly and honest. Then again 90% of my visits have been between 1 and 7 pm. Tonight I went at night, arriving around 10:20. First the lady at the door charged $20 cover. I thought it was still usually $10 on weeknights but whatever.
Inside it was decently full but there was one seat at the bar which I got and ordered a beer. I actually spotted 5 or 6 dancers I would like to meet, and since this was my first night visit in a long time, they were all new to me. Of the 5, 3 were white spinners, 1 Asian lady (the only one there), and 1 Latina. The white girls kept zipping around and I tried to flag them down. One told me she would come back to me in just a minute - never saw her again. The Asian sat on a couch and never took her eyes off her phone. The Latina snuck up on me and asked for a dance.
Her name was Selena. She's a bit chubby with braces but quite pretty. She waited for the next song to start on a back couch, her grind was way too rough, and she never so much as took her top off, and didn't let me touch outside. Before the first song ended I got and said that's enough - it was the worst lap dance I've had at Follies. I handed her a $10 bill. She said, "I need 10 more." Of course I argued, "That was one song and dances here are $10 per song." That went back and forth a bit with her claiming she's not a $10 bitch and my hands were all over her, me stating that I know Follies pricing and the dances are supposed to be nude, not with top and bottom covered. I gave her $5 more and she still complained and asked should we get security. I threw another $5 her way, like literally threw a $5 bill, and she pushed me. Rather than argue for what's right and risk something escalating, I walked away.
