The down hill day shift slide continues
I have stopped by here a few times past month or so, and unfortunately each time, almost the same result. Very few dancers, and this time, only two, one of whom had just shown up. Years ago, you could have 10 dancers during the day, and dancers would do stage dances, and visit with customers, decent variety, and very enjoyable. Over the past five years, during the day shift anyway, I find it usually completely empty, with one to no more than 5 dancers, and more often than not, less than three. Parking here is brutal, either street parking, or very limited parking off of Olympic behind Silver Reign. Don't even attempt to park across the street staples, as someone seems to always be on the look out for non customers and they might even tape up the car. They used to valet, not sure anymore since I tend to visit less and less. Lately no entry fee, which is good, considering the limited dancers there. Used to be $5. They have a drink min purchase, but since they know me, I always buy one, and never get asked again. This place used to be notorious for pushing to buy dancers drinks, annoying as hell, but again, they know me and dont bother asking. Dances, this is where this place has completely gone downhill. First, very limited dancing areas. They used to use the couches by the DJ for topless, which ran $20 per song I believe. They got rid of that, which makes sense. They have the couches against the back, and then the "VIP" corner off the bar. Two couches, hidden behind the couches and with a planter box. Not much to speak of, but can be private. However, where dances were $40 per song, now go for $50, and the VIP area is min of $300 or $600, or more, depending on what you purchase. Seriously? The couches directly to the back, are I believe $50 per song, but zero privacy. Someone truly trying to ruin this place. I am sure I speak for many people when I say this place at one time was truly the best in LA, closest thing to COI, by a long shot. Now, just a small, clip joint, no dances to speak of, no privacy, no specials, no quality and no quantity. Just pass, save the money. Sad but true. I am sure I will stop by here and there hoping for a positive change of direction, but so far, just out of luck.
