Just Another Rick's

So it's been 13 months since my last Seville review. It's no longer my favorite Minneapolis club.

It's been bought by Ricks and is no longer the independent, high-end club it used to be. It formerly had better looking, better dressed, better conversationalist young women who seemed to enjoy speaking with you. Now it's sixes to eights half of whom walked by asking "wanna dance?" Worse, there seemed to be a lot more smelly perfume than in the past.

My review my be biased because of two issues. The website has a "free admission" ticket. The very professional bouncer said "I'm really sorry, but you have to use that earlier in the night." What? it doesn't say that on the website or the ticket. Fine, ten bucks. Then the tap beer was $10.75. I said "the website says 'sexy Sunday, half price beer all night long'" and the bartender said that it doesn't apply on game days. Seriously? in Minneapolis between the Twins, Vikings, Wolves and, who knows, the WNBA Lynx are the only winning team in town, so there's probably not a single "Sexy Sunday" all year long. Lame.
