Nude, well, kind-of. Cheap dances tho.

When I hear nude strip club, I think of clubs like in Portland where girls are nude on stage. In this case, the girls are topless on stage, and may or may not get nude in the private dances, which occur in a darkened area of the club where you can really see anything, so I'm not sure that nude is that much better than topless. The biggest advantage that I can see is that the nude clubs don't serve alcohol, so you can BYO, which means you aren't paying for overpriced drinks in the club. Austin has a couple of other nude clubs that I haven't been to so I don't know if it is the same. Maybe someone can enlighten us in the comments.

I was there on a Monday evening, which is the slowest night of the week for strip clubs. There were about 10 dancers, half were thick in the middle and one was the most obese dancer I've ever seen. The other half were in the 6-8 range, all Cuban, with English proficiency from fair to almost nothing. I like the banter with the dancers so if she can't speak English, well, I'll still squeeze her tits but I might not spend as much time and money. Dances were only $10 so I could get at least a couple from every dancer there that was attractive. (Same night dances were 3/$100+ at Palazio, and probably at least $20 at other clubs.) Hustle was pretty light. Three of five girls took off their bottoms in the private dances. The other two didn't, and when asked about it just ignored the question. I didn't push it, figuring you take what is offered and if you don't like it, find another dancer. Mileage seemed to be Austin-standard, with one girl inviting more non-verbally, but I wasn't down for that.

Most clubs have couches at the perimeter for private dances. Divas puts their couches in one area called "VIP" and charges you $20 extra for the privilege of using them. Given their dances are so cheap ($5 Wednesdays!), it is equivalent to getting the first couple of dances at Austin-standard $20, and the rest at a discount. The Celebrity VIP room seemed to have some nicer couches, but it was empty all night and nobody mentioned it. I suspect the benefit to that room is that on a crowded night you might not have to compete with the riffraff for couch space.
