U.S. Thanksgiving 2019

I dropped by Leopards Lounge Thursday night last. The parking lot was full. I entered the bar and noticed that it was full and there were many dancers milling around. I paid the $5 cover charge and was surprised by the bouncer not frisking me.

When I found a space along the stools, I asked the waitress the reason for the full house. She replied that it was U.S. Thanksgiving and there were a number of young American patrons in the crowd. I have noticed that there were more Americans coming to Windsor lately, especially from Ohio and Michigan. It is now well-known to them that the drinking age is 19 in Ontario. As well, they can gamble freely at the local casino and can smoke pot legally. What more do young people need. In addition, the exchange rate is favourable since $1 US is worth $1.35 Can. Hence $20 lap dances are a bargain at $15 U.S.

The DJ kept repeating that there were 30 dancers, about three times the usual Thursday. Most were attractive at 7, although there were a couple of 9s lurking about also. The VIP room was at capacity.
