Ruby, Ruby, Ruby!

This club is located on Route 130 just on the northern edge of Burlington proper. Route 130 is a fairly busy divided highway and the club parking lot can only be entered from the southbound direction. The parking lot is well matched to the size of the club, and I’ve never had a problem parking no matter how busy the club.

This visit was at about 3 pm on a Friday. The club was moderately busy with about a dozen patrons. No one collected a cover at the entrance. My first drink, a Coke, was $5.

The dancer on stage when I entered was Ruby, who I’ve never seen before in my 8-10 prior visits. She is a short, nicely proportioned blond of indeterminate age. I thought her to be youngish until she told me she is over 40. We’ll-preserved, indeed! From the stage she caught my eye, I caught hers, she gave a big smile, I smiled back, and she came straight at me when she got off stage. I can rarely tell when a stripper is gaming me, but if it was an act, it was a very, very good one. I can’t tell you anything about any other dancers that day because Ruby got my total undivided attention. We chatted for a few minutes and then headed for the closet. Her dances there were as aggressive as you’ll get at Playhouse in spite of the big red Eye in the Sky. We did two dances at $30 per. I gave her a generous tip and left the club.
