Mint - Lazy Sunday

Its been quite a while since I have hit the Mint in Miami. It has been a Miami mainstay for decades. It is a small urban club with a history of good and bad memories. On this night there was no charge for parking and the cover was $20 which is high for a Sunday night but it is Miami. It is a good idea to make contact with the parking lot guy to give you a little preferential treatment on parking - it is worth a tip for peace of mind.

Dances are $5 and fully nude. Some dancers try to hustle $10 if you want real friction but most are happy to be making some money at the $5 rate. There are some cubbie hole type sleazy dark private rooms which I am not sure what the cost is as I did not partake and would be uncomfortable using in the evening when this club can get kind of rough - especially if you are not a regular.

On this night the club was steady but not over packed like it often is. The club itself is very small - as you enter the club there is one good sized bar and all the activity is around it. There is a small area just to the right for dances that is a little better lit. I believe the dancers charge $10 there rather than the $5 they charge on the floor.
