First visit to Escape Reality &...
First visit to Escape Reality & I was fairly impressed, especially with the couch dances. The atmosphere is about 60% strip club/40% local bar. But on a recent weekend night there were plenty of girls working, a nice variety & a friendly feel about the place. Although the club could use a good remodeling, it gets the job done. For no apparent reason, tables are pushed together "banquet style", rather than normal four-chair or two chair tables. So it can be awkward if it's crowded & you have to "join" someone's table. That could be easily fixed. The bar takes up the entire front wall with 15 or 20 chairs. Your back would be to the stage, so why sit there? The stage is in one back corner with the couch dance area farther back, separated by folding partitions. Sounds worse than it is. It was pretty private back there except you are all in the same room. Laps are $20. Most guys seemed to be buying 2 or 3 but there was no special deal. Three for $50 would be a nice touch! The girls seemed to have good relationship with the bouncer & he pretty much stayed out of the way. I sampled three dancers. One fair, one good & one outstanding (Candy). Sunday night is amateur night, Tuesday is 2 for 1 ($10 dances). They have a good website w/ dancer schedules. I'll definitely be back.
Slightly challenging to find at night. Look for the flashing yellow light on US 12 & turn North on Cass. About 10 minutes from Niles.
