Not Too Dreamy, But Not a Nightmare Either

Dream Girls is in downtown Minneapolis within easy walking distance of the Target Center and numerous hotels. There’s also a light rail station right out front, so it’s very easy to get to.

The club shares a building with Sneaky Pete’s, a sports bar on the ground floor. It’s a good place to get a few drinks before going upstairs to Dream Girls, which is a no alcohol club.

I arrived around midnight. The bouncer announced a $10 cover charge and informed me that the purchase of a nonalcoholic $13 drink was mandatory. The entrance door leads directly to the bar, where a rope line forces you to stay next to the bar until you buy the drink.
