Saturday evening

This review largely confirms my July 7 review regarding the ongoing downhill slide of Rickey's.

Rickey's is on the corner of 26th and State; there is ample street parking on 26th. It was $5 to enter plus a pat-down by the bouncer. Then it was $5 for a required drink at the long bar. The club has 2 stages with poles but only one was used--just barely! There is an ATM which charges you $5 to get money. Lighting is brighter than average. Restooms are adequate but a bit broken down. I arrived by 9:30 and it was quiet as a library, populated only by the bouncer, bartender, and DJ--all just sitting and checking their phones. So, I watched the TVs on the wall a while and then the DJ cranked up the music. After 9:30, up to 4 AA dancers finally trickled in (one heavy, the other 3 ok), as did one other customer, whom I watched get a lap dance on a corner sofa (adjoining the bar area). So, total of 2 customers--paltry for a Saturday night! And it remained that way until 10:20 when 3 more men customers came in.

The stage was vacant most of the time. Dancers mostly sat around or hid.

One dancer's name was Chanel, and I let her dance on me at the bar while tipping, and got to feel up T and A, and graze pubic hairs but that's it. Typical for Rickey's. I bought her a shot for $8, which she partly shared with a friend. I also gave her a backrub which she liked. She is from Illinois; she's danced in Harvey, IL and at Boxx Office in Portage, and she has danced at Rickey's only one week. I remarked on how slow Rickey's was, and she said that the situation sucks because the dancers can't make much money. Of course!
