Hopefully not the new normal

Well the rumors surrounding this place are true, it was recently paid a visit by local LE. As a result, all the back room fun has come to a screeching halt. The dual curtains that used to offer full privacy in the LD room have been replaced by a single curtain that has about a six inch gap on either side. Basically anybody in club management could see what was going on if they were so inclined. Unfortunately, word is that they are, in fact, so inclined, and have actually been canning girls who are caught doing anything extra or emerging with evidence of having done so. This has led to a significant exodus of talent and the girls' money being very diminished.

Despite that, upon my visit, the girls weren't even really trying to sell couch dances, probably because they know the current state of affairs isn't exactly appealing to most customers, the majority of whom come in here because they want business taken care of quickly. This isn't the type of strip club where you can "sell the fantasy" because it's a hole in the wall and the ambiance or talent don't allow that to happen. Despite all this, Management has not lowered prices of either drinks ($5.75 for a beer) or dances ($30 a song), and this has led to customers not exactly flocking to the place. I'm sure they haven't changed the nighttime cover charge either, but I wouldn't pay to enter this bar even before the crackdown, I certainly am not doing so now. I know when I was here I was one of about four customers on a lovely Saturday afternoon when golfers abounded nearby. Very slim pickings for the girls and you could tell upon talking to them they were bummed about it.

It is possible restrictions ease up within the next month or so, and I'll certainly be keeping my fingers crossed, but for the time being, there are easily better options than 19th hole.
