DejaVu has moved into its palacial new building in Kazoo, which it shares with the topless, full bar Little Darlings next door. There's a DJV Love Boutique in the area between the two clubs. Usually, one admission price will get you into both clubs, assuming you are over 21 for Little Darlings. This may not apply on special nights when there's a "feature dancer" on stage.
As for the new Vu, it's a huge improvement over just about any standard DJV facility. After paying, you walk through a revolving door onto the mid level of the club. Walk down to most of the seating area & the stage. Step to your right into soft drink bar area & about six high top tables along the balcony railing, overlooking the entire seating area & stage. Those bar tables are a good place to start, as you can get a great overall view of the entire club. Along the left wall, there are 12-15 couch dance booths, standard DJV plush red velour. Fairly private, facing inward or each other, no view from the main floor. On the right wall is a dark wood, partitioned VIP area, with several booths, real doors & even a ceiling (I think). I didn't partake of the VIP on this first visit. And, as one of gthe dancers told me, "Be sure you go in the bathroom cuz you'll love the urninals." She was right--they're unique!
It appears the club was built to accommodate a 2nd floor balcony couch dance area, similar to Detroit's Flight Club. However, I'm told they couldn't get the design approved the City (according to a dancer). So only the dressing room & offices are upstairs, plus an entrance to a promient catwalk that extends across the club, allowing girls to make a "fire pole entrance" to the main stage. Fun, but seems like a lot of expense for very little benefit. VIP in a balcony would have been great!
