sinclair's Review
I dropped into Kittens Cabaret at 17:45 on a Friday. The cover charge was $11, but $6 of the $11 goes toward a mandatory non-alcoholic drink. After 18:00, the cover charge increases by $5. I got a Coke in a glass, since Dr. Pepper was not available. They load the glasses with ice, so you don’t get too much soda and end up buying more $6 drinks if you are thirsty.
The club is very wide open with two stages. Only one stage was in use when I arrived. By 20:00 or so, both stages were in use. When you go up to tip the stage (no seats anywhere close to the stages), everyone in the building is watching you. It makes it intimidating and awkward, so very little stage tipping happens at this club. There is supposed to be no contact at the stage, so the only value in tipping is that it increases the chances a dancer will come talk to you after she gets off stage. Interestingly, there was a blonde with a massive tattoo on her back and a small tattoo on her right ass cheek who I tipped on stage (didn’t get her name). She completely ignored me and left the stage without even taking the bills I left for her! Another dancer completely ignored me when I put a tip on stage, but she at least collected it when she walked off. A few other dancers were more appreciative when I dropped off a few bucks for them. If I went back to Kittens, I would not bother to tip the stage, since some of the entertainers seemed to be insulted by it.
Kittens has a wide variety of dancers. Every body type and ethnicity seemed to be represented. I would say most dancers would grade out between a 4 and an 8. Every dancer seems to have different prices for her time and different limits as to how much interaction you can have with her. Most dancers will do lap dances for $25 or $30 minimum, although many offer volume discounts. Be sure to clarify whether a dancer will get topless or nude with the agreed rate before going back to the couches. Some dancers will not strip down and claim you will have to pay a higher rate for topless or nude lap dances, like $40 or $50 per song. Also, beware that some of the scammers will start dancing in the middle of a song and claim it was a full song. To be safe, tell dancers not to start their private dances until the next song begins. When I arrived around shift change, there were about 10 dancers on the floor. When I departed around 21:30, there were about 40 dancers on the floor.
