I keep going back to this place hoping to recapture one good visit, but at this point should probably just move on.
Everyone is nice, but everything is just okay. I sat at the bar for hours awaiting the arrival of more entertainment but by midnight there were still only a few people there and they all seemed to be occupied by locals and regulars.
Cove varies, free before 8 I think and around $15 after that. Happy hour drinks are half price then they go back to normal. They have signs posted for dance prices and they are accurate I think, but I didn’t get a chance to confirm on this visit because I apparently was invisible.
I always walk in with pockets full of cash, but apparently no one wants my money. only a couple of dancers approach but they don’t seem interested in doing anything other than scanning the crowd for a regular. One did ask for a dance and I decided it was better than nothing but then she got sidetracked on her way to the bathroom or dressing room by a regular and spent the rest of my visit with him.
Like I said everyone is nice and the scenery is good, but I’ve had one good visit and a bunch of bad ones so I guess at this point a trend has emerged. If you want to sit at the bar and drink and watch dancers on the stage it’s fine, but that’s all it was for me.
It’s not the worst place in the world. I felt safe and the staff and customers are just normal people but unless you go regularly or make an obvious display of throwing around cash expect to be ignored by the dancers if a regular is around.
