Different type of time

I came in a week or two ago with a buddy when there was some sort of stage competition going on. From what I understand none of the girls that worked there were performing and the club was only hosting the competition. There were a ton of customers for a weekday watching the show, but the house girls didn’t seem to be thrilled about it. Not feeling incredibly impressed I only spent a little bit of time downstairs before going to the upstairs lounge. This is where the regular club was being held.

Upstairs there was a DJ but he wasn’t putting girls on the stage because of the lack of customers. He was sitting at the edge of the bar mostly on his phone. It felt kind of awkward because it was only us plus a few other small groups and the only girls up there were sitting with two guys.

After about 10-15 minutes a girl finally sat down with my friend and they headed into a room. I was drinking alone and about 10 minutes later a brunette school girl sat with me and we spent some time having drinks and talking at the bar. Finally having some attention distracted from the fact that this was a weird night to be there.
