Brown Sugar on a Thursday

I heard a lot of good things about Sugar 44, so I thought I would drop in and see what the hubbub was about. I’ve only been here briefly before to meet a specific dancer from another club... who showed up well after I left. Stripper’s have many qualities I appreciate, but time management ain’t one my man.

Apparently the “prime time” on Friday and Saturday has some really sexy dancers... that are typically chilling with regulars all night long. As much as I wish I could derive some pleasure from watching other people having the time of their lives while some elderly Cuban broad hustles me to “let’s go VIP papi, why no...” alas ‘‘tis not for me!

With this in mind I ventured into the club on a Wednesday afternoon, getting in later than I would have liked around 4:00pm. Sugar is a smaller club, with an entrance hallway that takes a right turn into the main event. Notably, this is the second time I’ve been here that there was literally no bouncer or ID check, just walked in. No idea if that’s normal or not.
