I went to Sammy's a couple of times during a visit to Birmingham in August. I had been to a Sammy's in Mobile a few years ago. I remember that I liked it and had a pretty good time there. Sammy's of Birmingham is a pretty good club. It seems a little different than most that I've been to. The girls are pretty good looking but, what I really noticed was that they were not overly pushy or aggressive when it comes to couch or table dances. In fact, during every visit I was never asked by a girl for a table dance or VIP dance. They danced on stage for tips and put on a pretty good show. Frankly, I didn't mind the low-key atmosphere. I get enough of the hustle at other clubs I go to in other states. The club DJ didn't rattle on incessantly either. And they did not try to push any "two for one" specials or T-shirt "give-aways" for table dances. Overall, I have to say it was a pleasant experience. I'm sure if you really wanted a table dance or VIP time you could probably get it if you asked.
