sinclair's Review
I stopped into Sagebrush Sam's at 20:45 on a Wednesday night. The gray-haired owner charged me $5 to get in. It turned out I was the only customer. Sincweisers were $4. Since I was the only customer, the owner kept checking my bottle and trying to get me to buy another one before I even got halfway done with the first bottle. The club has a small corner bar to your immediate right as you enter. The single-user washrooms are in the right wall and not in the best repair. Six video gambling machines are along the back wall straight ahead. The stage comes off the left wall and is about three feet off of the ground with one spinning pole. The DJ has a desk to the right of the stage. The DJ looked to be a Native American lady that was dancing until she got pregnant. The sound system was so dated I could not make out a single word the DJ said, and the music sounded fuzzy. There are three private dance rooms to the immediate left along the front wall. Each has a curtain covering its doorway. The largest of the three rooms is called the Executive Room. Dancers can charge whatever they want for private dances, but they owe the house a fee to use the rooms. There are blacklight tubes in the ceiling of the club, but not enough of them to have much of a blacklight effect. When I departed later in the night, there were only six customers and very little money leaving their wallets.
