A Return to the Famous Cheetah's

I last visited Cheetah's many decades ago, and finally had a chance to have a trip to Atlanta where I could visit again. I won't bother in comparing the Cheetah's of today to the old Cheetah's as quite honestly I don't remember any details from the original visit and I was a lot younger then.

This visit was on a weekend night. I got there around 9 pm before they got real busy. Cheetah's is right downtown with a secured parking lot. I walked there from my hotel so I don't have any info on parking. The entrance is a bit subdued, but once you get inside that all changes. There is a desk once you enter where you pay your cover ($15 if I remember right); and then you turn left and left again and enter the main club. There are two bars on either side and a big U shaped (more or less) stage which is really just a long table or bar looking structure. The girls dance on top (in one of the three stages, right side, left side or the bottom of the U) and rotate positions within their specific stage after each song (roughly 3 to 4 songs per rotation). The girls stay clothed until someone tips $5 to remove the top; and then another $5 to remove the bottom for a specific girl.

The girls do walk through the crowd and seek out private dances. For $10 (if I remember right) they will dance right in front of you where you sit and get naked but there is absolutely no touching there. Or you can buy them a drink and the will sit with you for a bit and chit-chat and you can get a little more cozy. Their game is to get you to spring for a private (or VIP) dance back in one of the more "intimate" rooms. The regular VIP they get topless and lightly touch you; and sometimes take their bottoms off and dance in front of you. Cost is $150 per 15 minutes I believe. You can also rent an entire room for a flat cost per hour and then on top of that goes the $150 per 15 mins to the girl. The house mom's, waitresses, etc. do a good job of asking for their tips as well.
