This is an update from the last time I was there. They've remodeled a bit so it isn't as easy to be private. Fortunately I still had about as much fun as someone can have at J's. Basically there is a half wall that adds some privacy and dances can still be had mostly in a corner not visible from the bar area but it isn't as perfect as I think it was before. Despite that, it still works if you're patient and can have your dance in an ideal spot. The girls seem to know this and jockey into position whenever someone leaves the sweet spot.
Drinks still affordable ~$3 - $5. It was a good mix of clients and girls. I was happy with the general fit look of everyone there. That sets the mood a bit like a sports bar with the extra action. Girls still ask for dollars to feed the jukebox. Bartender is a lot of fun and likes to spiritually party a bit with the customers. Next time I'm back in town I will definitely hit this place on the way from O'hare.
