Good club not sure amateur night is for me

Went to Golden banana on a Wednesday while in town for work. Cover was 10 dollars when I got there around 930. I didn't know before I went but it was amateur night. This did make for a different visit, which I think I was an overall negative. When I got there, there is a big stage right in front and then a small cage that some women dance on. The private rooms are in the back. I sat down and got a beer, Bud light was 8.75, so a little strap but not terrible.

I sat down the check the place out, it seemed like there was a ton of dancers. But most of them were just sitting at tables not entertaining guests. After being there about 30 minutes, they announced it was amateur night when I realized about half the dancers were amateurs. This is fine in all but it meant there were much less girls doing dances then I thought.

While the amateur contest was going on, dancers seemed to just sit in the far table talking to each other and a few regulars. During this time almost no dancer talked to me and it was kinda just boring. This was a big negative of amateur night. As soon as it ended, took 2 hours fyi, there was only a couple customers left, so I got some attention. I got two dances, 2 for 60, both dancers started mid song which I hate. Both with lots of two way contact and did great dances. Both pushed vip for $500 for an hour, but didn't feel that was worth it.
