The first time I attempted to visit the Silver Bullet was for my bachelor party. This is not a review of that occasion, as we did not make it past the front door. One member of my party did not have a driver's license, and was instead using a passport as an ID. The bouncer had an issue with this because, quote, "This is America." Confusing, as a passport is the trump card of identification. And disappointing to be denied a lap dance for my bachelor party.
I was able to get in on a future occasion however, this time accompanied by my now wife. It's a small club, low stage through the middle, bar at one end and pool table in the opposite corner. Lap dances take place on a series of non-private stools in a hall behind the stage.
There is good talent for a smallish town, perhaps owing to the nearby college. Lap dances are cheap and light on the touch. Dancers did insist on double cost to bring my wife in as well, even as a passive observer. The barstool format is a little limiting, but the dancer gave it her all.
Options are limited in Champaign, but this is a solid choice without driving for an hour plus.
