Officially closed another one bites the dust

Foxy's has officially closed as of last Thursday for financial reasons. Their time was running out ever since they lost a lawsuit to the city of El Paso for a change of ownership, the case was CITY OF EL PASO, TEXAS, Plaintiff, v. EL PASO ENTERTAINMENT, INC., et al., Defendants.

Foxy's had won a lawsuit against the city years ago where they were exempt from any further rules/regulations. However at one point there was a change of ownership. Once the city realized that, they went after the club. Around 2011 was when Foxy's officially lost the case (https://www.leagle.com/decision/infdco20110513856). They had been fighting the verdict since 2011 but it was only a matter of time before they would have closed anyway.

Foxy's used to be one of the best and entertaining clubs in town back in the day. They were open 7 days a week, cover was $20 and it was BYOB. If you did not bring any alcohol there was a 2 drink minimum policy that was always strictly enforced with very unfriendly waitresses. They had a very very tiny bar area with one bartender.
