Price Increase

I finally returned to Blue Diamond after two very fun trips about a month ago and what a difference a month makes. You can read my previous review for more details, but it still has an upscale look (inside and out) that is a little uncharacteristic of the area. I was met by a very friendly bouncer who was outside watching the parking lot. He checked my ID and welcomed me in with no cover charge.

I was greeted by the bartender who claimed to remember me from a month ago, but who knows. I got a mixed drink for $7.50 and settled in to look around the room to see who was there. This is my first complaint about this place. It is tough to get an idea of who you might want to get a dance with because there is almost no stage dancing and the girls aren’t allowed to just talk to you; they have to sell expensive drinks ($24 - $66) or the bartender runs them off. The drink hustle here is very annoying. Note that they do have a list behind the bar with the dancers that are working at that time.

I finally settled on a dancer named Clover for a 30-minute VIP for $135. The VIP dances are done in one of the small rooms that are right behind the stage. Each room has a small couch and a solid, full length sliding pocket door for privacy. This my second (and much bigger) complaint. The door now has to stay open during a 30-minute VIP. You have to get a 60-minute for $250 in order to have any privacy. I inquired about just paying the difference and upgrading but I was told that I would have to do the 30-minute VIP and then buy another 60-minute one. That would have been $385 (without tip) to get any time alone with a dancer. Even if I had known about their new policy, I think $250 (without tip) is just too much; there are better, cheaper options. Since there were no refunds, I just went ahead with the 30-minute, which was pretty lame (just a long, standard lap dance) and left the club never to return until they change the policy.
