Wednesday No So Much Hump Day

Sugar 44 Cabaret
4420 E Thomas Rd Phoenix, AZ 85018
Had a rare opportunity to visit S44 in the evening, albeit early evening. Arrived almost at 6 PM on the nose, fortunately still no cover, no ID check, nothing at the front door. As you walk in, bar is directly ahead of you, the stage and seating areas are to the left, and the bathroom (two urinals--no waiting) is to the right. As always, two clusters of people at the club; the first is at the bar, where an even number of dancers and customers are there just to chat and drink. The second cluster is of dancers only, crowded together at the table directly under the DJ's booth. In my experience, these girls rarely work the floor, unless they see a regular. There were about 5 other dancers working, including Mustang, who was involved in a long dance session with a customer (naturally). I hunkered down in my spot and waited for an opening. I did see another I enjoy (AA, athletic tall, pierced nipples) talking with another customer, forever, and never ended up getting dances with him (WTF?). Finally, the brunette dancer who uses latex to cover her nipple (can't remember her name) came over. Bored, I agreed to a dance. They were what you'd expect from someone who covers her nipples--some contact but not too much, overall a fairly blase 2-fer set from her. A short time later, Mustang finally finished her session, and went straight to the dressing room. Fortunately, a friend of hers who was with another customer, actually got up from his lap, went to the dressing room and let Mustang I was there. Seriously. Mustang came out, gave me eight sensual dances and we were done. The AA dancer had finally finished talking without lapping, came over to me, and I got four dances from her. Very nice. Nothing over the top, but definitely worth four dances. By this time (7PM), there was literally no one in the club. No dancers had been onstage since 6:15, and now there were no customers (but me) and no dancers on the floor. Talk about mid-shift depression, this place defines it. I bounced out and headed to what I hoped would be greener pastures). Solid $10 dances to be had at this club. Waitresses do not push drinks ($5 Coke, including tip). VIP laps are $20 each, with a one-time $20 wristband purchase at the bar). I did not VIP today. I still have yet to see Q, whom everybody on this board loves, nor Venice, whom everyone hates. Stay tuned. CP
