A lame monday night

After my last visit I wasn't too eager to revisit Bristol but when a buddy told me he had some good times in recent weeks I agreed to go with him on a Monday night toward the end of the Bears game. Getting there at 10 at least I thought we would avoid shift change but the aftermath of it was apparently stll in effect. We arrived and the club was actually pretty busy. Paid our 7 buck cover and went through the metal detector. I was surprised to see a group with four middle age guys and four similar age women at the bar. There was also a small group of younger guys at the small sunken stage tipping a blonde dancer that i'd seen before. My buddy and I sat down and ordered a couple of beers that I think were 7 or 8 bucks. Thats when it became clear that even tjough there were now 10-15 customers the only dancer was the one on stage. I was sure there had to be more inthe back on a Monday in football season but when the bouncer walked over he said "good luck getting her attention. Shes the only one here." I was ticked that we had payed a cover to get into what had become a rundown towny bar for the night. I sure wasn't sticking around to get the attention of 1 girl while the group of couples chatted at the bar so me and my buddy called it a night and headed home. Sure hope business picks up in this area soon.
