So so night at CCR

Was in Crystal City for a quick, last minute business trip and ventured over to CCR after a dinner up the street at the Sports Pub, my normal Crystal City routine. Arriving at about 9 pm on Mon 16 Sep the place was about dead. I took a seat at the bar as I usually do and ordered my $7 (?) draft beer and got $20 in singles. Spent most of the time chatting up Cody, the bartender, or rather she was chatting me up due to boredom. Nice gal, though. Also spend some time talking to Cathy, one of the night managers who is an ex-dancer (maybe 20 years ago?) who remembered the old layout with pool tables and no smoking area / private rooms.

The previous reviewer is spot on about his frustration over the super quick sets...I would say barely a song and a half. Most of the dancers this night were not all that appealing, either. Most of the time when I have visited there are at least a few lookers, but not on this night. And the dollar parade is all but unbearable. I've got no problem tipping dancers but in my view, most of these girls barely dance. They get up there, shake their stuff for about 2 mins and hop off to do the tip round. The crowd did pick up around 10 pm, so there were tips to be had. At 11 pm (I stayed because I had nothing better to do) it seemed like most of the dancers were doing two song sets. Several times two girls would dance at the same time and both would do the tip round together.

This was the first time that I actually witnessed a couple of guys take girls back for private dances. I studied the dance card on the bar and to the best of my recollection, these were the prices: 10 mins for $50; 15 mins for $75; 20 mins for $100; 25 mins for $125; 30 mins for $150; and so on, up to 60 mins. Simple math is essentially $5 per minute which works out to be cheaper then places that charge $20, $25 or $30 per dance but those places that I frequent are much higher mileage than what I've heard about in CCR, but everyone has to make their own value judgements. I don't think I'd pay the minimums here for an air dance unless the dancer was super hot.
