Is GGC going downhill?

I usually like the Gold Club for a drop in especially after a stop at the nearby Chaps for a pit beef sandwich. (Saw some people on here slamming Chaps which is crazy but we're not here to debate about roast beef.)

The layout can be complicated because they have two rooms, a main one for use most of the time and a smaller side room that I've seen them use on weekday dayshifts. Either way the girls tend to be lowhustle and friendly without getting too too friendly. Dances can be had but aren't going to rock your world so I usually do a little tipping at the rail of the stage where you get a good view.

My latest visit though was on a Sunday evening before the start of the NFL season and it was dead when I arrived. Nobody dancing. I walked halfway in and saw some people congregated at the back bar area and a bouncer type chased me down to ask for cover charge ($5 or 10 i don't even remember).
