It Only Takes One
I was in South Florida a year and a half ago and made two trips to Booby Trap – one meh and one great. I am in SoFlo now and was eager to check it out again. This time I was there on a Thursday from 8:45-10:00. Parking was $1.00, cover was $5.00, and bottled water at the bar was $5.00.
My first impression was, wow, the music is too fucking loud, so I headed to the bar on the left side, which is elevated a little and the music was not as oppressive there. I like to chat the girls up a bit, as I never get dances from girls without getting a sense of what their personality is like, how good their English is, what level of service they give and what they expect in return. I got a couple of $10 dances, which are nice but low mileage (i.e., not Follies-level floor dances), while surveying the scene down below, which is where the stage is and where most of the girls were hanging out.
I would estimate that there were at least 30 girls working, and only about 15 customers. The girls were all very young and fit, ranging from 6-9 with most being 7's. However, half or more of them were not circulating and were constantly on their phones. I like it when girls approach me, though I'm not reluctant to approach a girl on my own. However, I am not likely to do that when there are two or three four-top tables completely filled with girls checking their phones and not even interacting with each another. There were other girls who were not on their phones, but most did not circulate, though there were guys sitting by themselves and probably would have welcomed some attention. My take is that these girls are just too young and inexperienced to understand how money is made in a strip club.
