Late Night trip to Union Jacks

Stopped by Union Jacks late on a Friday night, first time I’ve been here in a while. Parking sucks, there is a lot behind the place with maybe 10 spots that were all taken and then there is the street.

There was maybe a $5 cover at the most. The club was very busy, just getting to the bar was difficult. The layout of the club is odd, there is a small stage on the right by the front door and booths on the left. The bar is in the middle of the club and there is a small walkway that runs along the bat and leads to the back half of the club. The back half has a larger stage and the lap dance booths. There may be 1 or 2 tables in the back. Drinks were about average for a club in Portland.

While I was there, I saw maybe 8-10 girls working, all fairly good looking 6-8 range. There were a couple AA, and a couple Hispanics, and the rest were white. The girls seemed enthusiastic on stage and both stages were full with customers and all seemed to be tipping well.

As I walked up to the bar someone was leaving so I hung out at the bar for a little while. I was approached by a few dancers for dances. I wouldn’t say they were hustling, but they were at least trying. I eventually moved over to the small stage and tipped for a few rounds. By this time the bar was closing down. There were a couple girls I would have considered getting a dance from, maybe next time I’m downtown.

Overall, I liked the club, but not a fan of how packed it was. They play a good mix or rock and hip-hop music.
