A clear divide and a hustler

I was recently in a 2-night business trip to Chicago. On night 1, I went out for drinks with a co-worker and watched Monday Night Football. But on Tuesday evening, I made sure to save some time to visit a club.

Options are obviously very limited in Chicago, and anything but Rick's or Pink Monkey would be too far by taxi. Despite the reputation of lame club experiences in the Windy City (likely named after the air dances), I decided drinks with a view would be worth it.

I've been to VIPs on 2 past occasions and basically knew what to expect, despite the ownership change to Rick's Cabaret. I did end up asking a dancer if she saw any changes, and she said she preferred the new club, because with the national chain, management was held to a higher standard, and therefore less abusing their power. I thought that was insightful.
