This review of Vixens will be the last of my club tour of Miami for this trip. The previous clubs I went to were Scarlett’s (went there 3 times) and Solid Gold. My apologies for the length of this review – there aren’t a lot of reviews of Vixens on TUSCL, and I was there on a fact finding/fun finding mission, so I have a lot to write about. I had a late afternoon flight out of FLL, so I stopped in to Vixens for about three hours to pass the time while waiting for my flight. I went to Vixens at around 12:30 in the afternoon on Wednesday. I figured it would be a good way to get a free lunch since they offer free pizza from opening time to I think 5 p.m. Nothing else is available from the food menu during this time though. They were not collecting a cover at that time.

Vixens is a huge and cavernous club (not Tootsie’s size though). The barmaid gave me a tour of all the facilities since there were literally no customers and I had never been there before. When you first walk in, there is VIP/bottle service seating in a raised area on the right wall. In the middle of the open area is a large, long stage with two poles. The far side of the club, opposite to the entrance is the bar. On the far right of the club is more VIP seating with two stages, each with poles, but before 11 p.m., sheer curtains running from the floor to the ceiling (ceilings are very high – probably about 40 feet) screen off the VIP section. You can easily see through the sheers. The VIP section behind the curtain had some private booth seating and another bar. The dance/champagne room area is to the left of the primary bar in the main floor area. Barmaid said that there are a ton more girls in the evenings – she said more than 50+ on weekend evenings.

All dances are $25 per song, and the $25 dance section is down a hallway and comprised of small booths on either side of the hallway. Each booth has a padded bench that can fit two people. There are probably about a dozen booths that are maybe 5’ x 5’ with open uncurtained doorways. There are mirrors along all sides of the booths. The champagne area is adjacent to the dance areas, and there are 3 maybe 4 champagne rooms. The rooms still have the leftover rock themed murals on the walls, and they were doing work on one of them – adding a stage. Vixens used to be a rock-themed club, but the barmaid said that they couldn’t draw enough high-end rock type customers to make it work, so the owner went back to what he knew – Scarlett’s-style club since the owner of Vixens had previously owned Scarlett’s before it was sold to the Rick’s company. The champagne rooms have couches and curtains in the doorways. The rooms are about 6’ x 15’ feet – not huge. During the day, champagne rooms are $350 for 30 min, and the girls get a good chunk of it – not sure how much – I was told but don’t remember. But one of the girls thought that it was fair. The pricing might change at night. I don’t know the pricing for 1 hour, but assume it’s double.
