The Nags Head is back to being good!

My usual favourite London clubs are Ye Olde Axe and the Nags Head. Situated a short walk from Aldgate East/Aldgate/Tower Hill/Fenchurch Street stations, this is one of the famous "pound in the pint glass" strip pubs. The entry fee was £5 on this visit. I have visited during the day, when there's no entry fee. I've also paid £10 in the later evening. The drinks are about a fiver for a beer, £3 for a soft drink.

The stage dances are a mix of skillful and perfunctory depending on who is up on stage. There's a stage dance every 5-10 mins. There are stunning girls alongside more homely girls. They pretty much all have fabulous figures. The dances take place in booths for £20, or in VIP for £150. I've enjoyed a couple of VIP dances, burying a finger or two inside along the way. Not all the girls are this compliant! The standard dances became very tame a few years ago, apparently after the club were warned about some really flagrant contraventions of the rules. Lately it seems that they've returned to their naughtier ways, though the mileage is within London levels. Some discreet groping and licking is entirely possible with a few of the dancers.

The dancers are a little pushy, but not annoyingly so. They don't upsell too hard, which is nice. The Axe has become somewhere that you're constantly asked to get a "naughty forty", which is the same as a £20 dance. Here at the Nags Head, you'll be encouraged to have a longer dance but not forcefully.
