Defintitely Worth A Visit
As has been commented on before, Mickey’s is in an unusual location for a strip club, planted in the middle of a residential neighborhood on the outskirts of Providence. I was thinking this was going to be a ghetto neighborhood and that Mickey’s was going to be a sleazy dive in a converted house. I was wrong on all counts.
The area is not sketchy at all. Mickey’s is located in a well-kept, solidly middle class suburb of Providence. Clearly, there are no zoning regulations in this area, or if there are, Mickey’s must have opened before they were implemented and was grandfathered in. I wonder what the neighbors with kids think about having a strip club next door?
I arrived at about 9:30 p.m. on a Tuesday evening. There were only a few cars in the parking lot on the side the building, which is not a converted residence. It was clearly built as a commercial building, not as a residence. There is an awning on the front of the building with the Mickey’s logo, but the entrance is on the side up a few wooden steps.
