Great value, but you better habla Espanol
I arrived mid-afternoon on a Thursday. It's in a section of town that could be colorfully referred to as "underserved," to say the least. Plus side; there was no cover. In fact, there wasn't even anyone working the door, so I just strolled right the hell in and sat down.
The space inside is not very attractive: smoky as hell, dark, dingy, with concrete floors and a tiny stage. There were a few dancers, some hot, some less-so. 80% or so were Latinas, the rest were black. The customers were mostly working class Latino, salt-of-the-earth types. Everyone was very nice.
Right off the bat, it became obvious that not being bilingual was going to present a problem. Most of the dancers spoke Spanish as their primary language, and their English proficiencies ran from passable to non-existent. I did strike up a conversation with a heavier set girl who spoke English (her native language), and she informed me that the majority were Cuban, most of questionable immigration status. She gave me the lay of the land and kept me company for a bit, so I got a somewhat banal dance from her in the VIP. Dances are $10 in the main area, $25 in the back "VIP" section (which is just a separate dingy area with couches).
