Average bar for an average guy.

For the longest time Archibald's was my go to club. Low key, local bar vibe, with girl next door type dancers. Now that Archibald's has decided to try to become some kinds of fake VIP club, sell pretend lap dances at stupid prices, I find myself at Good Guys. It's not what Archibald's was, but the closest thing you can find in DC. There is no contact permitted with the dancers while on stage. That's just the law in DC. No cover charge, no drink minimum as far as I can tell, and the drinks are reasonably priced (I think I was paying$12 for vodka on the rocks). Dancers are your girl next door types for the most part. I've seen all races of dancers there, but white being the majority. The dancers do the dollar walk after their sets, but nothing too high pressure. The whole vibe is just your average guy type of bar so they're not selling any bs hype. It's a little out of the way up Wisconsin Ave, it's pretty far away from downtown, but it's worth the trip if you want to skip all the fake pretense that has taken over downtown.
