Honey, I’m Home
Look, I get it. It’s a dingy plywood shack down by the river, all beige with green trim. The roof is so low it barely looks tall enough to stand up in. That’s the outside.
Inside, it’s dim, kinda seedy, a big open space with the lottery machines and bathrooms on one end, the single stage and bar facing each other off-center, the DJ stand middle, a pool table I never see getting used and the private dance rooms (which recently got remodeled with wood flooring, believe it or don’t).
Even on a Friday or Saturday there’s never more than 5 dancers working, and if there are more than 10 customers it’s a crowded, busy night. The bartender is also the cook, so be patient (and tip! Godsdammit, tip.)
