Once a great club, now mediocre.

So this club has always been a love of mine. I would go in and they do the typical scanning of IDs and take a modest cover charge. (I can't remember exactly what it was this time) Every time I have been here I have had a fantastic time, without breaking the bank. Drinks are always reasonable, the girls are always friendly albeit a tad pushy. At least that's what I remembered.

My last visit to this club was anything but ordinary. Yes, the girls were hot, plentiful, and very friendly. However they were much more pushy. I can usually deal with pushy, just stay strong and let the proper head do the talking. As usual, however, I did give in to a few dances. This is when I discovered that things had changed here.

Usually at Platinum the back room (lap dance room) is a nice place. You go back with a girl and give her $20 (or sometimes $30/$40 for full nude) and you get a dance, or you make a deal to get a 5/$100 or something. Well, apparently the club changed their policies. Now you have to pay $5 to "rent" the couch directly to the club, and the girls set their own prices. Dances are now running a minimum of $40/song which is an absolute rip-off. Yes I suppose you can touch depending on the girl but $40? No way. I'd much rather go to some other, better, clubs in Philly (looking at you CR) where it's $20/song, I get the girls attention pretty much all night, and you can generally touch depending on the girl.
