Feeling the Blues

I was in Memphis, Tennessee. I was in the street doing the twist to Chuck Berry’s Memphis, Tennessee. Thought it would be fitting. I was having a grand old time until kids started to throw eggs at me. At this moment I knew it was time to hit the strip club. Gold Club on the east part of town.

$10 cover on a Monday night. Beer was $5. Layout is one big open room. Bar and bathrooms at the back. Two stages in the center with only one active when I went. Regular dance area on left. $25 a dance. VIP booths on the right wall. Very visible. $150 for every 15 minutes in there.

Girls were mostly white and black. Driving from the Southwest your starting to lose Latinas in this part of the country. I would say the girls ranged from 5-8. It wasn’t horrible. The only girl I wanted to spend on was engaged with a customer all night. That’s fine. VIP is extremely visible here that is a huge turnoff for some of the higher priced options. It’s a nice place though really. Bathrooms were out of this world. Just wanted to briefly check out the Memphis scene from the reviews it looked like one the top options in town but I’m just used to a lot better.
